"What aftercare do you provide here?" — we are asked this often.

Because breast surgery is widely seen as a major operation, we have put together a range of programs so that you feel at ease afterwards too. Heated back massage, the care pouch, capsule therapy, radiofrequency care, Healite and scar management follow one another in step with your recovery.

HEAT BACK MASSAGE

Heated Back Massage

Close-contact heat massage at 65°C with flexible modules

Gentle heat releases the neck, shoulders, and back — areas that stiffen easily after surgery — to support circulation and recovery.

A pouch of the essentials you need after breast surgery

You receive U&U's exclusive aftercare pouch, filled with the care essentials you need during recovery.

CAPSULITIS

Capsule Therapy

Ultrasonic micro-massage that promotes blood and lymphatic circulation

At U&U, Capsule Therapy is used mainly in the first month after breast surgery, when easing swelling and bruising also takes the edge off pain.

Radiofrequency or ultrasound care

Deep-heat massage that relaxes soft tissue and supports circulation

It helps bruising and swelling settle. During the session you may feel the area warm up and the tightness in the armpit and muscles ease. It is used selectively — only where tightness is present, such as after accessory breast removal or an axillary incision.

HEALITE

Healite

A range of light sources that improve the function and activity of various cells

Light at wavelengths used in wound care is delivered into the skin to support healing; it can help ease pain, inflammation and swelling, though the effect varies from person to person. It is mainly given within two to three weeks after breast surgery.

SCAR MANAGEMENT

Scar Management

Care that changes with the state of the scar

Within the first three months we combine scar ointments with adhesive products such as Steri-Strip and CicaCare. After three months, depending on the scar, we may add toning or Fraxel laser; after a year, scar revision under local anesthesia can be considered.

Some of these programs are not scientifically established; we offer them to give patients comfort and reassurance. Please feel free to visit after surgery and we will take care of you.
