Preservation of Tissue: What is it?

An approach that uses an inflatable balloon to measure the space and position where an implant sized for the patient will be placed.

Its goals are tissue preservation and minimizing tissue damage.

Keep your breasts' natural beauty

Surrounding tissue is avoided where possible and repositioned around the implant.

Keep your breasts' soft feel

A method that reduces damage to the breast's natural support structures.

Keep your breasts' stability

Without cutting the pectoralis major, your own tissue is stretched to support the implant.

Keep your peace of mind

It aims to reduce tissue damage and induce a low-inflammation response.

Tissue preservation: what is the concept?

(tissue preservation)

In breast augmentation, it refers to an approach that reduces damage to surrounding tissue

and seeks to preserve anatomical structures.

It may aim to maintain natural structures to the extent possible.

Because how it is applied differs with each person's body type and tissue condition,

it is not applied identically to every patient.

* Eligibility may vary depending on individual health, tissue thickness, and anatomical conditions.

Surgery time: 20–40 minutes

* Surgery and anesthesia times may vary depending on each patient's individual condition.

  1. 1Step 1 — Periosteal elevator

    Incision & Tunnel Formation

: A periosteal elevator is inserted through the incision to form a tunnel.

  2. 2Step 2 — Tissue-expansion balloon

    Tissue-Expansion Balloon

: An approach that uses an inflatable balloon to measure the space and position where an implant sized for the patient will be placed.

  3. 3Step 3 — Breast implant

    Implant Placement & Closure

: An approved breast implant is placed, and the incision is closed.

Preservation of Tissue

FAQ

Q.How is it different from the conventional dual plane technique?
Creating a pocket above the muscle, without cutting the pectoralis major — that is how the implant is placed.
Q.Will there be much scarring?
Depending on the size of the implant, it is around 2.5–3.5 cm (3.0 cm on average).
Q.Which implants are used?
Smooth implants cannot be used; Micro-Textured implants approved by the MFDS (Korea) are used.
Q.How does it feel?
Because the implant sits above the muscle, the result is a natural, soft feel that moves with your posture.
Q.Is the risk of capsular contracture low?
Because micro-textured implants are used, the risk is lower than with smooth implants.
Q.What about recovery time?
Because the pectoralis major is not cut, recovery is relatively faster than with the conventional dual plane technique, though it varies with your job, lifestyle, and the extent of surgery.
Q.Is general anesthesia required?
No. Local anesthesia or conscious sedation is also possible; a board-certified anesthesiologist decides after assessing your health.
Q.Can anyone have this procedure?
If you want a very large breast size or have insufficient breast tissue, it may be limited.

* Caution is required, as unexpected side effects such as inflammation, bleeding, or infection may occur after surgery.

* Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure using a medical device, and unexpected side effects such as inflammation, bleeding, pain, or infection may occur after surgery.

* Surgical methods and the recovery process can vary greatly depending on your body type, tissue condition, and health — please decide through a thorough consultation after an examination.
