The breast is not made of fat alone. It is layered with skin, fat, mammary gland tissue, muscle, and more.
Also, depending on the structure of your breastbone and ribs (the thoracic cage), your breasts may be naturally prone to projecting outward — or to looking sunken.
Asymmetry of the rib cage, in particular, is more common than you might think. That is why some people have uneven breasts or nipples at different heights.
If these factors are ignored when planning breast augmentation, there is a high chance you will end up considering revision surgery later because of shape problems.

2. How extensive is the aftercare?

Having explained the structure of the breast above, let me now explain how the whole body changes after breast augmentation.
With implants, most patients choose a volume of at least 200cc.
That means, on average, about 500g of added weight across both breasts.
This shifts the upper body's center of gravity forward.
In other words, your body shape changes: the shoulders roll forward / the neck flattens into a straight neck, and so on.
Beyond chronic shoulder stiffness, this can even lead to herniated discs in the lower back or neck.
So even though it is breast surgery, we recommend looking for a clinic whose aftercare covers the whole body.
