Breast Augmentation Price? Answers from a Clinic That Performed 3023 Implant Surgeries Last Year
Hello — we are U&U Plastic Surgery.

Supporting data: implant patient registration

I've been looking into breast augmentation prices here and there,
and every clinic quotes something different.
Why is there such a wide gap?
I heard the cost changes a lot
depending on the type of implant —
I'd also like to know roughly how much
the price differs by implant.
Source
Breast augmentation prices currently range from the 3-million-won level up to the 10-million-won level.
As of 2025, there are 3 implant brands in frequent use:
Mentor
Motiva
Sebbin
For Mentor — specifically when using Mentor Xtra — the price sits at around 8 million won.
For Motiva, the cost is generally set at 10 million won or more.
So while each implant is priced differently, Motiva is the most expensive of the three.

So once you pick the implant type,
is the cost of augmentation with the same implant
roughly similar from clinic to clinic?
Source
Not necessarily.
We said implant type accounts for a large share of the price, but there are more factors that determine it:
- anesthesia fees / medication costs
- post-operative laser and radiofrequency care fees
- nursing and medical staff labor costs, and so on..
With so many variables, even the same implant surgery inevitably varies somewhat in price.

With such a wide price range, you may well be wondering how much budget to set aside.
As a clinic that performed over 3000 breast augmentation procedures last year, we would offer this advice:
First decide on the criteria
for the kind of clinic
you want to consult with.
Source
Suppose there are two clinics.
Clinic A
- No in-house anesthesiologist
- No in-house breast surgeon
- Aftercare focused on swelling, scarring, etc.
Clinic B
- In-house anesthesiologist
- In-house breast surgeon
- Aftercare extended to swelling/scarring + posture / breast screening, etc.
Even with the same implant, would these two clinics charge the same?
Of course not.
Clinic B is bound to cost more, given staffing costs and the upkeep of its testing equipment.
This is why, if you go to consultations without weighing a clinic's characteristics, you will inevitably receive wildly different quotes.

So the first step is to narrow down the characteristics of the clinics you will consult.
Below, we list criteria worth referring to as you shortlist clinics.
( * We did not include the surgeon's skill or reviews, since you can already check those through communities. )
3 criteria to consider
when shortlisting clinics
Source
1) Whether an anesthesiologist is in-house
: Breast augmentation almost always involves general anesthesia. An anesthesiologist must be present during surgery.
Yet some clinics operate without an in-house anesthesiologist.
There is a freelance model, in which one anesthesiologist covers surgeries at clinic after clinic.
2) Whether a breast surgeon is in-house
: Before breast surgery, screening for breast disease is always part of the process. After surgery too, ultrasound exams are performed for checkups.
Mammography is performed while compressing the breast, and biopsies involve puncturing the breast.
So having a board-certified breast surgeon in-house makes care easier to receive both before and after surgery.
3) The scope of aftercare
: In consultations, many people ask about breast augmentation complications only insofar as they affect the 'breast' itself.
But complications do not appear only in the breast. A chest carrying the weight of two implants goes on to change your posture as well.
So we recommend checking whether aftercare is not simply limited to the breast.

For 2 years, we ran a Q&A on breast augmentation in mom-community forums.
We answered questions about complications, as well as questions from those weighing important life stages such as childbirth and pregnancy.

U&U Plastic Surgery currently keeps to a principle of 3 surgeries / 6 consultations per surgeon per day.
Still, hoping to help those interested in breast augmentation, we share a selection of the most frequently asked questions from the Q&A.
