A breast augmentation clinic? 2 things you must know so reviews don't fool you. <Advice drawn from 20 years of research experience>
Hello. We are U&U Plastic Surgery, the clinic that used the most Motiva breast implants last year.

This post was not written solely to promote a breast augmentation clinic.
Gangnam Unni / Yeouya community, and so on..
We are writing this for those who choose a clinic based on reviews seen on various platforms and communities, to share some points to be careful about.
Breast augmentation is the only cosmetic surgery that places a foreign material such as an implant deep within the muscle.
Because of this, even the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warns that breast augmentation carries a markedly high risk of infection.
We hope that you, too, who are reading this, will keep the following precautions in mind when choosing a clinic.
This is advice based on 20 years of research experience, so we hope you will take it to heart.

1. As much as surgical skill matters,
there is an equally important criterion.
Source
As mentioned earlier, breast augmentation carries a markedly high risk of infection. However, infection during surgery is not something that can be prevented simply because the surgeon's skill is outstanding.
That is because the 'surgical environment' also causes infection.
The surgical environment we mean here is not simply about keeping the operating room clean.
The kind of surgical environment that causes infection
also includes cases where, in the same operating room or nearby,
surgery is performed on body parts other than the breast.
Source
The nose and mouth harbor 'resident bacteria' (normal flora). These usually cause no problems, but in the operating room they can become bacteria that cause infection.
And these resident bacteria can also travel through the air.
In other words, if in the same operating room or nearby
facial surgery is performed,
the resident bacteria that drift in
may cause infection
during the breast surgery.
Source
For this reason, university hospitals such as Seoul National University Hospital almost always separate the area where breast surgery is done from the areas that handle other body parts.
However, ordinary plastic surgery clinics are often not large enough to separate their operating rooms.
So when you choose a clinic, we strongly encourage you to check whether that clinic performs no cosmetic surgery other than breast surgery.

2. Is it a clinic that also stands by
your life after surgery?
Source
Deciding to get breast augmentation is the same as deciding to live your whole life with two implants of over 200g each inside your chest.
But the breasts are also a part of the body constantly affected by gravity.
As a result, when the weight of the implants is added to the breasts, body posture often breaks down.
Once implants are placed in the breasts, the body's center of gravity inevitably shifts forward.
In this process, posture problems arise, such as the shoulders rounding forward or the neck straightening (forward-head 'text neck').
In some cases, the posture problems that develop this way lead to a herniated disc.
That is why aftercare is needed to support your life after two implants are placed, including help with posture problems.

Breast augmentation Q&As we ran for 2 years in a moms' community —
a compiled collection
Source
Over the past 2 years, we held Q&A sessions on the topic of breast augmentation in a moms' community.
We answered questions not only about the side effects of breast augmentation, but also from those weighing important life stages such as childbirth and pregnancy.

Currently, U&U Plastic Surgery maintains a policy of up to 3 surgeries and 6 consultations per day per medical staff member.
Still, hoping to help those interested in breast augmentation, we have selected and are sharing only the most frequently asked questions from the Q&A.
