Doctor, I'm thinking of getting breast augmentation,
and even though the implants will make them bigger,
won't the sagging afterwards get worse too..?

You may be worried that having a child will make the breasts sag further, and that you might need another surgery..
Breast augmentation is a surgery in which two implants, each weighing several hundred grams, are placed.
It is a surgery that is inevitably affected by gravity, and as aging progresses, sagging is bound to occur. This can also bring changes to the shape of the breasts.
That is why, as above, some patients end up considering revision surgery.

It is precisely 'wearing the right bra.'
Wearing a bra matters from the moment breast augmentation is done.
With older implants, the implant stayed fixed in place in the breast after surgery.
(e.g., teardrop / Allergan implants)
However, the implants used these days are not fixed — they move fluidly inside.
(e.g., Motiva / Sebbin / Mentor)
That makes them all the more susceptible to gravity, which is why I stress that wearing a bra is important.
Right after surgery, you first wear a compression bra for 1 week / and then move on to a sports bra.
The compression bra counters the weight of the implants while compressing the lower part of the breast so the inframammary fold sets properly.
Then, after 1 week, you switch to a sports bra, which is worn a bit longer than the compression bra. (1–3 months)
Even when you later move on to regular bras, the right bra differs by brand and product.

When sagging occurs after augmentation surgery, the treatment options to consider are as follows.
- Implant removal only
- Capsule surgery only, adjusting only the implant position
- Keep the implants, perform only a lift for the sagging
- Lift surgery + implant removal
- Implant replacement + capsule surgery + lift surgery
To avoid ever reaching the point of considering these 5 options, please make sure to prevent sagging by wearing the right bra after surgery.
